Deep music.

All your acting
Your thin disguise
All your perfectly delivered lies
They don't fool me
You've been lonely, too long

Let me in the wall, you've built around
And we can light a match and burn it down
Let me hold your hand and dance 'round and 'round the flame
In front of us
Dust to dust

You've held your head up
You've fought the fight
You bear the scars
You've done your time
Listen to me
You've been lonely, too long

Genius. Genius.

Singer? Songwriter?

Songwriter.

Singer-songwriter?

Done, end of story.

I wish I had written that. But no, of course it wasn't me.

Dust to Dust by The Civil Wars.

The Civil Wars is an American musical duo composed of singer-songwriters Joy Williams and John Paul White. After releasing a live-performance album and a four-song EP, their full-length album Barton Hollow was released in 2011
Wiki here.

I love duets/duos whatever you call them. I love hearing contrast of voices.

I love a bit of indie folk in a song. The Civil Wars does it. That's the kind of music that captures the heart. Well at least it captures mine.

I hate people that judges one's taste in music. I have friends that says i'm always listening to weird songs because all they listen to is pop music. Pop music is good, of course, but I love music that stays in the heart not the mind. I listen to alt rock and a little bit of indie folk.

Who doesn't love One Republic and Bastille or Coldplay?

Anyways, remember Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift? She featured The Civil Wars and it was amazing. I held on to that song for like months before getting addicted to something else. Taylor's music changed, I loved her more when she was still country-pop. Now she's gone all pop. But she brought her country self back in Safe & Sound with some folk from The Civil Wars. Perfect.

Thanks, xoxo.
